But with decreasing revenue from property taxes, it has become clear that the district can't balance its budget and maintain its traditional high standards without a tax rate increase. Frankly, our taxes have decreased enough over the last few years that the proposed "increase" will only bring our taxes back to the level they were in 2007 -- as such, I really don't consider it an increase at all.
